I bought a pair of carolina boots the other day, and they are wicked comfortable. but they already look like 2 year old boots, i hope they last
Miles, I've got these boots: Original SWAT - Product Details Best ones I've ever owned, Got two pairs of em. Use em for work, wearing regularly, mountain biking, hiking, I even run with these bad boys, most comfortable ones I've ever had. Other than these I have a few timberlands, redwings, had some hi-tech brand hiking boots that were super comfortable, but they wore out after a season of landscaping.
lol ive had my leather grunt issued combat boots. throw in an insole and theyll be comfy and will go through literally anything..fire, acid, tar, you name it.
now if im doing some jogging or alotta work in marsh or where ill be running alot, i have my vietnam era canvas/leather steel shank jungle combat boots. lightweight and durable as hell.
I have a Pair of Justin ropers that are my oldest work boots, and my everyday/work boots are Ariat Cobalt XRs and For Dress Boots I have a pair of my Dad's old Tony Lamas made from aardvark, and 2 pair of Lucchesse Resistal Ranch Ropers made of Ostrich leg and my newest dress boots are Smooth Quill Ostrich Tony Lama western heels.
Well, July of 2009 I picked up a pair of cheap Ariat Sierra Ropers. Two years later I still use them daily, and aside from discoloration, they have been the best damn boots I've ever owned. I went out and bought a second pair for dress and school about a year ago, and those too have lasted, and still look brand new, at least to me.

I'd love to know how they hold up, I bought a pair in the spring. They're still in the box, I'm still on my 5 year old Carhartt boots. I never would've thought they would hold up as good as they did.
I worked residential maintenance landscaping out of college and burned through three pairs of timberlands in 6 months. Atleast I was in shape then.

I liked the boots, but unfortunately the sole started to peel off after about 4 months of moderate-kinda heavy use. Went with a pair of chippewas that are about the same type of boot and they seem to be holding up much better.
I also have a pair of carhartt boots i wore for about 2 years and now my dad wears them cause they are too small for me. going on probably 4-5 years old too
got a pair of twisted x silver buckle series cattleman boots that i wear for show,
and a pair of $50 rugged outbacks that i beat the hell out of.
the twisted x boots are great,
the outbacks are cheap, had them for 2 years and still together though. but i want a better pair.
only thing is that the X's have a hard heel above 3/16" rubber sole. they got wore down on the very back and now when i walk its the clop, clop, clop. i have to TRY to walk quietly
well my pair of RO's, finally got a hole in the side.. and they've let me down when it comes to traction,, so now im gonna go buy some 8" caterpillar loggers from sears...those outa give me plenty of traction and durability.. about 120 bucks at sears
