Check to make certain you reconnected the MAF.
Check for other stuff unconnected.
What year? There are differences and we ain't psychic.
If all else fails, take it back to stock and see if the problem is fixed or if it remains.

thanks projectSHO89 for the reply the motor is in a 1998 mark 8 and ya ive check everything i can think of ,i have a door that slides in and out on the cold ram air intake i put together on her so that i can take it back (or as nere to) stock and ill give it a try and will let you know.thanks again mbl

LaMan1;i do have a k&n in it,which i clean the filments a couple of times with rubbing alcohol and both are still in tac.what do you make of the 1414 code also i'm wondering sence there so much more push air now where there had been a suck air design if that would make it go code?thanks LaMan1 for your time and wisdom.mbl

The last time I got that code, the car ran great with just a little stumble right off of an idle. I replaced the maf and the code and stumble went away.
I'm not sure about the 1414 code, Your car doesn't have a secondary air injection system.

LxMan1;i spent the $109,00 at AZ and put the maf on and cleared up both codes,so i took a ride to vegas 135 miles one way and on the way back it pickup 301 which i had once before (5,000 miles ago) so ill be dealing with that.im getting to hat that cel ! thanks Jimmy for the support mbl
