I just recently pulled my 1990 F150 302 5 Spd out of storage and I've had on/off problems since.
First there had been a small fluid leak through the period of time it was in storage and it wouldn't shift at all for me. Topped that up and so far it's been great in that respect.
Now, I'm not sure what happened but it feels as if the clutch isn't being pushed against the flywheel. When I first noticed the problem I was in gear and could rev and barely go anywhere. Then the power came back for a quick second and then nothing. I can let the clutch out in any gear and not go anywhere. Revs freely as if it's in neutral..
i think if a slave went it would just lose hydraulic pressure (leaking) and that wouldnt alow thw clutch to disengage. the oppisite of what you describe
