If I put it in d1 it revs but doesn't go anywhere. Put it in d2 and i have to slam it all the way down to get it going. Put it in D and it feels like it has first gear. I get a block away and every time, the trans fault light comes on and i get codes p0731 Incorrect gear ratio 1 and p0732 incorrect gear ratio 2. I've been trying to figure out what this could possibly be. I was hoping it was maybe a solenoid but there's no code for the solenoid. If its a worn clutch then why does it feel like i have first gear in drive? When i turn it off, it seems like the computer forgets and has to relearn that it's having a problem. It doesn't store the code and throws it only after driving it a block. I checked all the obvious fuses pcm related. Anyone know why this is happening? I also had some throttle codes so I cleaned the throttle body and reset the computer. The codes didn't come back. I understand this can throw it into limp mode. But after resetting the computer it behaves the same way. The most troubling thing is the no power in d1 but feeling like it has low power in drive. This is after a computer reset and initial start up. I'm about to flush the transmission and clean the lines and cooler and check the valve body for sticking valves. I've been doing a lot of research but can't pin point anything exact about this condition.

I think at a minimum, its time to pull the pan and LOOK.. Might be all kinds of crud in the bottom. If broken parts, your screwed.. If DIRTY, clean pan, clean solenoids ( sticking) and change oil............... ??
