Draining gear oil
I am going to be changing the gear oil in my tranny (Ford 9") And I would like to know how to get it out of the rear end, do you have to take a stud out, suck it out with a gun, or take the whole thing apart? Thanks

To take the stud out will require removing the third member. Either way will work, but taking out the third member requires removing the two axles and third member, and is quite a job.
I perfer a siphon if your not have any other rear axle problems.
