Best head unit?
Best head unit?
What do all of you people run? IN the ranger i have a Blaupunkt, and its probably the best one of them i've ever seen. The bass is just unreal. Great sound. I had a 50$ el cheapo in the F150, definantly the worst one ever. No bass, no nothing. THe left front speaker quit working, so i got a Kenwood and i wish it had more bass. It doesnt seem to compare to the Blaupunkt bass wise
I have always run Eclipse, but now that circut city will carry them, and the quality will drop, I'll find something else.
I currently have a avic-n1
as far as bass / treble get a amp or EQ to control that

i got a $100 pioneer cd player from circuit city becuase when i bought the truck it had nothing and when i was wireing it up it occured to me i didnt know what speakers i had so i took the covers off and i had brand new pioneer speakers in the doors. sounds pretty good, im not out for shakein the windows, i just want to listen to music. right now it is pointless till i get my "exhaust leak" fixed. for shakein the windows i have a panasonic 500w stero a sony 12" home theater sub and 2 sansui 4ft tall 3 way speakers with 2 12" woofers in each with a 160 watt max input in my room. i have had it cranked up to -10 and it starts at -85 and i can feel it in the rocks out front and they are a good 10ft away from the house and 15 from my room. i aslo have to have a stick holding my window open or it falls down. and that is running the sub on the lowest it will go.
I like my Alpine CDE-9843, better than the Xplod and the other Sony POS head unit's I've had. A buddy of mine has had a lot of problems with his Pioneer head units that he paid more than I paid for my Alpine for.
