haha ok i guess its a good deal. there are some guys on pirate who have some for $150 as well... one is in utah, and I dont remeber the other guy. Ill probably rebuild it too. ARent full kits for these things like $100?
All the local j-yards wanted $250, even when they had to ask what an NP205 was...
I prefer divorced, for the reasons already mentioned. Due to the short length and lack of angles on the intermediate shaft and u-joints, I've yet to blow one...so I've never see the extra shaft and joints as much of a strike.
Oh, and those are seriously ripoff prices for a 205...but I guess its all about the area you live in and supply and demand...
sell them on ebay, you could get that easily or maybe even more thna that if they are in good condition...
all t-cases are like gold down here actually, i have no clue why. i read about some guy trying to find a bw1536 with a fixxed out put and he couldnt find one for under $350, most j-yards wanted $400. so im thinking ill be making money by swapping out my bw1356...

Same way around here. You can't find any old Ford parts at boneyards cuz they either crushed 'em all, or if you do find it they want $14,000,345 for it.
For example. Boneyard about 35 miles from me has a bunch of HP 44 fronts with 4.10s. They want $450 for ONE of them. They also had an NP205 for about $250.

if thats complete thats a pretty good buy... around here they run about 600-650... i vote with proeliator- i've never lost a intermediate shaft either.. i run a hoop on it just cause if it breaks loose i don't want my exhaust to take a beating!! factory they only have about 9 degrees or so of angle to them... mine is a 3 inch tube and i have put a small twist in it before- it never let go though!!
Edit: Come to think of it, what is the bolt pattern on a BW1536? is it that 4 bolt, equidistant/symetrical pattern like in the inside of that tail housing in the pic I posted? Ive never had mine apart, so I wouldnt know...
