That was the problem I ran into, ended up having it re-cored. The real trick to this is FINDING a radiator shop, still in business that actually repairs anything. I found an 80 year old man working from his home. He's the only radiator shop left in Athens, GA. I don't know what I'm gonna do in another 56 years when I have to replace it again. hahahaa

You could repair it yourself! Unless it's really badly corroded at the tank/tube joints, it isn't hard.

Doug, Al and Others,

I can remember when Augusta had nine or ten radiator shops, but we are one of only two left that actually do torch work. By the way, Doug, how can the man in Athens be contacted, in case I have someone up that way who needs him?

Yeah, education is expensive.... Albuq's pic is exactly the type of heater I have in my '53... Those cores don't seem to be readily available at all.

Stewards,

Us Ford folks are lucky. GM, in its infinite wisdom, used round heater cores in the fifties. Now those things are pricey!!!

I have about 80% of the duct for under the fender. I am missing a few pieces still. All of it needs to be blasted and powder coated.
