Yes, the bottom end will need to be taken apart to determine which piston it came from. You will probably have one scored cylinder wall, as well as one damaged piston. Hopefully it isn't too bad and a .030" overbore will take care of it.
Wrist pin retainers are nothing to play around with.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I would start by pulling both cylinder heads, and checking the bores. If none of them look damaged, start pulling pistons and rods until you find the affected one. There's a chance you might get by with a new piston, rings, pin, and rod small end bushing. You should probably take the affected rod down to a machinist and have them verify it's straight before reinstalling it though.
But definately start by pulling the heads and see what you're dealing with.
There's always the small possibility that someone dropped an extra pin retainer in the pan for whatever reason when they were assembling it.

no it was broke in half, my 3rd trk with a fe this one never had the power of the others previous owner had 2.75 gears put in it i thought that was why it felt weak man wife alrdy giving me a hard time abt it maybe time to park it 3yrs till free of child support and have money for stuff like this i got what i wanted 68 short bed ac ps pb its just going to take time to get it right
