I actually happen to like the Focus, darn good little car... But I currently own 2 Ford Trucks, and no Ford Foci... so I think my allegience is clearly placed.
I own a '03 Ranger. I love this truck. However, I have to drive a Focus for work and you can't kill that car. I'm always ripping that car and I love the pick up it has at lights and freeway entances. You can also take that car on sharp curves very fast. It sticks to the roads. It is an '02 with 163,000 on it and we change the oil every month due to the milage I put on it. I think the only thing we did to it so far is put new plugs in it about a year ago.
ford makes good cars, i was only kidding around before. For its class its in, id say its pretty good. All it is is a future version of the escort. Never rode in one though so cant really say how good it drives.
not a fan of vehicles i cant fit in, i just cant say id feel very secure riding 3 inchs off the ground in a 1500 pound plastic box. i think im gonna stick with my trucks.
Ford can build trucks but thier cars are a little on the stinky side. The Focus is a cheap feeling car that lacks in power and mpg. Give me yota or honda over a Ford car anyday. As far as being "owned" by a focus anything is possible when you mod it but I have yet to see a small Ford car be the best in the Chicago-Milwuakee area for any type of street racing. Personally I think money spent on a new Ford car is wasted money.
A Ford Focus lacks power! And gets poor MPG? And is cheap compared to the overhyped imports? Need's to be modded to give it some git?
You're joking right? It's clear some of the posters have never had a significant amount of flogging time in one, and are just reiterating the same ole garbage.
I didn't know that 30-35 mpg at 75mph was crappy mpg out of a '05 Focus 2.0L ZX4
You're right Superrangerman2002. Someone also posted that they are hard to fit into. I'm 6'2 185 and have plenty of room in my work car. I love my truck also but the Focus is a hellofa car.
When F2504X4 started this thread I don't think he meant to ask who would give up their truck for a Focus. He meant to talk about how badass the Focus is.

You sir must be the one kidding! I didn't say that anything was "crappy" about it but if you think it's the better choice of the small cars out there then you are blinded by loyalty. I'll stick to 35-40 mpg cars with better engines, wider aftermarket and a way better residual. Battling with a blinded man will get you nowhere so I'll just stay out of your way.........

Fun to me doesn't include implying that an average car is the best. It just kills me sometimes how blind some people can be about things. I enjoy and prefer all kinds of things that aren't the best but I won't get too proud about them and say they are. Would it kill some people to admit that they really enjoy what they have without claiming it to be the better choice for everyone???
