Thanks brother, I did get lots of compliments on it. There were stacks, but nobody had a truck like mine. All theirs pretty much only differed in colors and generations. I got the most comments on my 2 5/8" pillar gauges.
nice numbers for a stock injectored truck!! a stock fueled dodge wouldnt break the 200hp mark......the dodges are just so easy and cheap to overfuel and put big turbos and bottled power on.....
most likely the no differnce in the 40 to 120 hp programs is usually it advances the timing so it can deliver more fuel but in delivering more fuel it has to increase the pulse width, and in that its more demanding on the hpop and idm. so if there slightly weak it will come out more in the more demanding programs. with injectors that flow more its not as obviouse due to theres more it can deliver, with the stock injectors it needs to take advantage of all the fuel avalible. theres a possibility that theres a fuel pressure drop also, but since your shimmed i dont think thats much of an issue. do you notice on the higher program if your running down the road full throttle and back out of it a little the boost shoots up a couple pounds?
running the truck in 5th may or may not have affected the numbers, it depends on the type of dyno and wieght of rollers, i know on the dyno jet's and mustangs my truck dyno's higher in 5th it seems to load up a little more than it does in 4th. in a magnetic resistance dyno truck does much better in 4th 1:1 the mag resistance dynos are much more consistant and accurate for diesels but theres only a handful across the country though......
Yes, Yes, try some stage ones then hit the dyno with that chip and nitrous. I see your torque keeps going up and that is probably why you feel the difference.
oh no! That is some disapointing news... Sorry to hear it, RubberDuck...
I had a similar experience when my bigblock mustang dynoed at 318hp and 400ish lbs of torque. I was thinking over 500! And there were Chevy guys there...
Sounds like some stage one injectors will flow the fuel you need to make BIG power. Thanks for getting to a dyno and letting us know what kind of real numbers your truck makes.
