C6 question..............

Anyone know if the C6 was still an available option on a 1993 halfton? My buddy's got a 93 and swears he's got a C6. I did, however, read somewhere here that after 89, the E4OD was supposed to replace the C6.

I asked the same question more or less about my 89....Thru info here and on my own I figured it out, it was a c6 because of 1. the gear selector..mine reads P R D 2 1...no OD or should I say a circle with a D in it..The other is just listen and feel for the shift points and if its 3 you only hear, then there you go...Tell him to count the pan bolts on the tranny, if there is 17, its a c6..I believe a e40d has something in the neighbor hood of over 20 bolts.....
