man i have a small problem i have a 302/c6 and a 400m/c6
one is a small block c6 and one is big block c6
will the torque converter interchange cause i got the small block 302/c6
i am going to swap out in my 79 bronco from the 400m/c6 but the small block c6
has no torgue converter it has been robbed
i knoe i may need a new flexplate but any info would be great
Does your 400C-6 have small pilot or large thats were the problem comes in.You can run a small one in a large hole but not a small one in a larger holw.A manual trans pilot bushing can be drilled out to take out the space when going to a larger pilot.The stall speed may be a bit off too.the stall on a 400 is a bit tighter than on a 302.A 302 convert on a 400 will be like a saturday night special.
