remote starts

No I did not install it,I bought the truck in las vegas and the owner said it was professionally installed.I read a thread on here about a month ago and lost it, an individual was talking about his remote start had the wire was ran to the alternator instead of the coil or something like that. Obivously I dont know anything about wiring.

I live in northern california bought the truck in vegas, but got a lot of good info about the problem really appreciate it. my nephews friend installs stereos so he is going to look at it.At least we have a starting point now. Thanks again.

No,it is not a ford system it's a audiovox.When truck is cold the glow plugs warm for about 10 to 15 seconds then system shuts down and resets itself,keeps doing that until I push the little green buttom twice to kill system.Also if the alarm is set it will activate alarm. thanks.
