supply pump on 6.9

Anyone know if it makes any difference if u run the rubber fuel line straight into the lift pump, it was curled around in a loop when I took it off. it used to turnover as soon as I hit the key now the engine turns for a bit, Im wondering if its because of that fuel line that runs from the metal line into the pump. thanks

you are waiting on the glow plugs to cycle, right? If they do and it takes awhile to crank check for fuel at the filter by pressing in the bleed valve on the filter housing while someone cranks the motor. Replace filter if it's been awhile or you are in a cold climate. Diesel fuel will gel rapidly in cold climates and you need diesel fuel conditioner added to each tankfull if you are in a cold place.

you dont want any tight lines from the frame to the engine, engines will twist a bit and if a line is too tight it will get torn, do you still have the stock water sepator on the firewall hooked up?
