I had the misfortune of having a cell phone idiot hit the right side of my F-350-Crew-Cab 4x4 PSD....
She pushed it in 8" and shortened the cab 1 1/2"..
I need a rocker panel to fix this turck...I don't want a used wrecking yard piece..since Ford no longer makes one I am at a loss as to where to find one..Me and the body shop can get this fixed with a good rocker panel as this is what the body appears to be registed to...
Any help will be appreciated...
oh yes..she did get a ticket and I had to fight State Farm to get my money...
Over $6000 in damage...
Wanted a different cab but could not swing it...
Had a perfect truck before..now I am probably going to take off all of the items...Special Utility Bed, front bumper/winch(500#)w/plow mount etc..and everything else and sell it...
I am really unhappy with this idiot..woman..
She moved an 11,000# truck 11" sideways according to my tire tracks...
Ended up under the truck with a Grand Am...Totalled it...
I know that anything short of a replacement rocker will not hold up to the type of stress I put this truck through....I had NO rattles or bad fitting doors prior...bet I wil now have that...
Hope someone can help me locate such an item..

Check out LMCtruck.com. They have rocker panels for standard & super cab, don't know if they are long enough for the crew cab, but if it only took out say the back half, maybe the body shop can splice it onto the good part of yours. All of the body panels that I have gotten from them have been good quality.
Hope this helps and good luck get her rebuilt.
Plowhead...That is exactly what I want to avoid...I want the entire piece so the cab is back to register.....The body shop is going to do this now and if they do, I am selling the truck immediately...
I put the truck in some drastic twists and I can assure you taht the cab will not stand up to what I do. I off-road dail and when you have a tuck weighing in at over 11,000 all the time...it will flex a lot...I do strip mine hills, river bottoms, creeks, hills, heavily rutted roads and small mountains...I need a cab with integrity like it was before the wreck.
I can' find a rocker in the junk yard that isnot damaged..one they got is bowed...I won't allow it to be used...the body shop empliyee says..it is supposed to be that way...I said look at the other side...it is straight...
I have two choices...let them put it back together and sell it or find the part in good or new shape...selling means a refabrication on a new truck for all the add on items...takes 2-3 months to completely outfit a truck...not to mention the brand new injectors wiring harnesses, glow plugs, sensors and regulators...etc that I have just replaced....I can assure you that the new injectors will come out...and the old ones will go back in...including the valve cover gaskets and wiring...cost too much to do over...
This is one of the few ties that ford has disappointed me...I would have thought that they would still make something like this....after all, there are a lot of these on the road...
State Farm huh? Every body I know has had to fight them to get something fixed! Every time its been their client thats at fault! I wonder what its like if your their client and you need something fixed? I hope things get better for ya!
racenitro, give a day or two to check with some poeple here and see is I can find you one. I hate for you to have to lose a good truck this way. I'll get back to you.
Found you one! It's used, but the guy said that it's in good condition, it will be from the front hinge post, 12" into the cab, all the way back with the cab corner to the back glass line. It will come with all of the braces and supports. Around $600 + whatever shipping is. Send me a PM and let me know if you want it and I'll put you in touch the guy.
Sure beats getting rid of your truck after you put so much into it.
1997, LMC truck is an excellentsource for our trucks. They only have a catalog for 250's in the obs. check them out at www.lmctruck.com. They will send you a free catalog. You could rebuild your entire truck from them. And they are very reasonably. And the catalogs are kick ***. Everything has an exploded view and all parts are labeled and priced.
