I ordered a passenger side outer rocker panel from Tabco. They sent me the rocker but it is only the piece that goes in the door way. I need the entire rocker that goes the length of the cab (from the front lower pillar to the inner rear cab corner). They said that no one makes on of those and I havent been able to track one down that is correct. Anyone on here had this problem before or know where i can get the full piece? I can post pictures later if needed to help clarify. Thanks for any help!
Green Sales has their own website where part numbers can be typed in, but I don't bother with it since all their obsolete parts are also listed on PartsVoice.com as are all the other obsolete parts vendors and 25% of the FoMoCo Dealers.
But just to verify, I typed D3TZ-16506-A into Green's site, this message appeared: "Sorry, we don't have this part at this time."
I also have the FoMoCo Dealer parts locator system, all the dealers are listed, none have D3TZ-16506-A either.
Some of these dealers also have their obsolete parts listed on PartsVoice, cuz anyone can access it. The dealer locator can only be accessed by dealers and the chosen few.
Several years ago, Don Sanderson Ford in Glendale AZ had over 100 of D6TZ-16102/3-A R/L inner fender liners for 1976/79 F100/350's & 1978/79 Bronco's, could be installed on 1973/75 F100/350's.
Within a month after I listed this info, ALL had been sold. Nothing lasts forever, so Green Sales is oughtta stock on the R/apron, because all have been sold.
Bonafides: 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog / Sheet Metal Illustration Section - Page 10 / Text Section 160 - Page 4.
The apron and its basic part number (16506) are shown on this page of the sheet metal section. The complete part number is listed on this page of the text section.
Since y'all prolly don't have this catalog, ask FTE member mikeo0o0o0 to scan and post these pages.
mine were shot on my 76, my 78 donor truck were good but the roof rusted out so i swapped cabs and chopped the tops! the windshield guy i used had a fun time with it!
