Any DSO code of more than two characters is a code for a fleet/special order purchase. And this fleet purchase suggest that there was special specifications involved --either special paint or special grouping of options. It would be nice to know what company was involved in the fleet purchase and what options were involved.
i know it is a S paint code.(it is a kind of mint light green) 3:89 gears, 4 speed, 223, step side. non custom cab did have a heater. and an anco big squirt windshild washer. that is about all vac wipers. I think it was also built in VA. If you need any thing else let me know and i will see if i can come up with it. thanks

Just thought i would bump this back up and see if anyone has anymore info on the dso code or on the paint code. Again the paint code is S and it is kind of a mint light green. Anyone have paint code book and can look it up? ( i looked online but with no luck, at autocolorlib. com thanks)
i emaild autocolorlibary.com before i got any replies. They emailed me back today and said that in 59 he shows an S code for mint green. i looked there but it looks almost to light but then again i dont trust the puter with that. Anyone have any ideas now? Still take it and have it matched? thanks
I looked in my 1960 book and S= special, but thats not to say it didn't change from 1959. There was only one light green in 59' refered to as adriatic Green(M30J-1274) Hope this helps, -4speed
