Buy a 100.00 Chinese air compressor and an IR 2132 impact. total cost 200.00.
I'm sorry but every electric impact I have ever used won't take the lugnuts off an aero. There may be some good ones but they are rare and expensive. I wonder why. Seems like the concept should work electrically powered but they just don't. There must be some magic to air, perhaps rpm? Rpm in a hammer environment might transfer into (rpm) squared energy transfer, maybe that is the magic. Wouldn't compressed air be useful on your trailer anyway?
We are try to remove catalytic converters from cars in wrecking yards. I'm sorry, but if we have to have an air compressor, then we will not have an impact wrench at all. Looks like those higher end milwaukees are pretty impressive, especially that one with the 3/4" drive. AS to the question, about compressed air being useful on the trailer. No, the only thing it would be good for is adding air to out tires. There is nothing about our work that needs air power.
Hi Khantyranitar I know Bosch make an awsome battery powered impact wrench, they are used in a lot of tire and exhaust shop's but they are very expensive one guy I talked to in tire kingdom said the one he was using cost about $500
Uhm, if these are powerful enough I might consider it, but I have not found many Bosch products to be of good quality, and I doubt a battery operated unit will work well in single digit temperatures. I will look into it however.
Hi again Khantyranitar. I can only tell you what I saw Khanty with my own two eyes, this inpact wrench was a bosch tool, I don't think you can get them in sears though I think they are sold though the trade magazines or some place like that and as for single digit temps, well it worked good enough here in thriple digit temps, but you are right in that batteries don't work that well in very cold temps. As for Bosch quality not beeing very good, I guess that is in the eye of the beholder I my self have never had a bad bosch product, I have a drill and a small hand held grinder that are over 10 years old now and still going strong.
