351 to 460?
I want to take my 351w out of my 95 f 250 and put in a 460.will it still fit the the e 40d tranny?im guessing as long as it came out of a truck with the same tranny ill be ok but what about motor mounts etc?WHAT type of problems will I run into?

You shouldn't run into many problems if you scalp a 95ish truck with a 460.
Like mentioned, you will need the whole 460 drivetrain plus attached electronics. The 460 won't bolt up to an E4OD anyway.
Mounts? Grab from 460 truck, drop into 351 truck engine bay, bolt in. Done with that part.
You will run into few, if any, problems if you don't try to shortcut this. Nothing from a 351 matches up to a 460, if I recall correctly. It's not like a 5.4 to 6.8L v10 swap in a Super Duty, but it's doable.

Thanks for the info im still looking for a used 460 engine in decent shape.I did find a 460 that was in a 95 350 but I guess I was a few days to late and another guy got it but im sure I will find another one.what tranny do I have to get to fit the 460 anyway?
