Is there any of these trucks left to be had and if so where? Ive been looking far and wide to no evail. Im looking for one to restore with a few up dated motifacations. What does everyone think would be the perfect modifactions for these trucks to make them more fit the time of today without changing the body style of the 73-79 trucks.Im interested in interior modifacations ideas and drive train modifactions also ? Let me know what you think and if you know of any crew cabs for sale out there? Thanks (chris)

I found mine on the trader on line sites, I had to look for a couple of years before I found one within driving distance. When I was looking I could always find one in Arizona or Oregon. A lot of noce trucks out in that area if you can afford to get one shipped or the airfare out ans drive it back.
I've been hunting for about a year and a half since my '77 is close to restored. That is my ultimate dream truck however honestly i'd rather a 67-72. I know for Drivetrain its expensive and in someways pointless but AWESOME. I want a 7.2 CAT, pushbutton allison, fully boxed and braced frame Rockwells, and a t-case and driveshafts to match the combo
I guess I got lucky found mine about 40 minutes from my place in Alberta, bought it with a flat bed, put a box on it, rebuilt the 400, bench seats out, Eddie Bauer buckets up front, and just picked up 60/40 buckets for the rear, small bumper on it now, working on a smaller winch mount, going to tint the glass, maybe a cowl induction hood, new door seals, insulation, head liner and carpeting coming up. Oh yeah lots of bodywork and paint coming too.
