Haven't posted here in over 2 years, but I really could use someone's help. I have a 77 Ford F-150 4X4 w/ 351M. I picked my truck up today from the 3rd mechanic to try to fix the problem, he was unsuccessful, but at least gave me a diagnosis. The problem is that my driver's side brake light won't work. Also, whenever I go over a bump or shift from park to drive or reverse, the radio will cut off but come right back on. I've already had 2 mechanics check out all the bulbs and wiring in back of the truck and everything checks out. I told the mechanic that there may be a short or something in the steering column, so they took it apart, and now they are telling me that I need a directional switch. Is there any body out there that can tell me where would be a good place to start looking to find this part? I'm new to these classic trucks and am still learning, so any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
I have a simalar problem in my 74 the tail lights always work but sometimes the driver side brake light stops working. I'm not having any luck with it any suggestions?
