Please help, brake light prob

Haven't posted here in over 2 years, but I really could use someone's help. I have a 77 Ford F-150 4X4 w/ 351M. I picked my truck up today from the 3rd mechanic to try to fix the problem, he was unsuccessful, but at least gave me a diagnosis. The problem is that my driver's side brake light won't work. Also, whenever I go over a bump or shift from park to drive or reverse, the radio will cut off but come right back on. I've already had 2 mechanics check out all the bulbs and wiring in back of the truck and everything checks out. I told the mechanic that there may be a short or something in the steering column, so they took it apart, and now they are telling me that I need a directional switch. Is there any body out there that can tell me where would be a good place to start looking to find this part? I'm new to these classic trucks and am still learning, so any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Check the advertisers here. They carry that part for a variety of trucks, and probably yours.

Check out the tech article: https://www.ford-trucks.com/article/...rd_Pickup.html

Usually problems like this can be traced to a bad ground.

I had the same problem. I ordered a turn signal switch from LMC truck for about $70 and installed it myself.

You can buy the turnsignal switch from your local part store.
