any body had to replace theirs yet. Started mine last night. had one side all off then compared my new one a little closer and they were the wrong ones. close but not quite, the mounting holes were half a hole off. all this after i have painted and undercoated them and also drilled 2 drain hole in each of them. so now i have a lift tied up at work that i am sure we will need today and a truck that i can't drive. not to mention a set of hangers that i can't send back and i don't know what they fit!
any body done theirs and have a part number handy so i can tell the ford guys which one i need.
thanks
tim
when i was doing my bushings there was two types. a moulded in style and something else. i can look in my manual. to make a long story short i got the wrong bushings for the other style and had to modify mine to work. why are you replacing them are yours rusted out? or could you get away with just doing new bushings?
the hangers are rusted out. the hangers are just plain the wrong ones. called the parts department this morning and they are the wrong part number so they are delivering the correct ones this afternoon and hopefully taking the other back with them but the manager is going to make the call whether they credit them or not.
the bushings on my truck are ok but i did have both sets of new urethanes on hand just in case. but this project is already over budget as what i was only planning of doing is the bronco tank replacement for my rear fuel tank then saw the hangers and figured now is the time. so tonight the hangers go in and maybe if i have time the tank will but i have some modification still to do with the sender.
