I am going to put Herculiner bed liner in my bed. I am thinking it would be best to remove the plastic bed rail caps and then put them back on when done.
How can these be removed without damage. Looks like there are little round caps that can be removed to get at a bolt or screw. Do these just pry off with or something ?
If they are going to break then I would rather just tape the edge of the cap and not mess with them.
Any thoughts ?
Also any experience with herculiner - does it hold up and look good ?
My bed rail caps are glued on, so I can't help you there.
I've heard good reviews about the Herculiner product. There is a tech article in the FTE vault that might help you out on the application (happens to be a Ranger too):
