You really need to take the truck to a diesel repair shop that supports Ford warrantee. I think there is a place in Topeka that does this. I will do some digging.

Too bad you couldn't bring it to Wichita, I know some of the boys out at Rusty Eck, most of them came from Kansas Truck Center when they changed locatons. One of the guys out there is a power stroke guru that has 8 drawers on his tool box covered in awards and comendations. Lemme know if all else fails.

Matt, I can understand your frustration. I have not had great experience with them either on the few things I have had them work on. At this point my vehicles are all out of warranty, so I'll either do the work myself or take it to an independant shop. Would the Dick Edwards shop in J.C. be any better? Also, there may be political reasons why the trucks go to DE in Manhattan. Was the truck purchased there? If you check the 6.0L forum here you will find that it isn't uncommon for folks to have poor diesel service at Ford dealerships. Good luck on the thing.

Sorry to hear about your problems. When I attended KSU, I drove a wrecker on nights and weekends. Got to know all the repair shops pretty good. Some dealerships sub out warantee work to local repair shops. One shop I know of is Auto Tech. I believe that is the name, its been awhile. It is the shop at the intersection of Kimball and Tuttle Creek Blvd. Hope this helps. I know Murdocks does. There are some good shops in town and bad...
On a side note, the best thing about driving the wrecker was if I had a few too many in Aggieville on my few rare nights off, I just called whoever was on duty and they would pull up with a wrecker and tow me and my truck home. What a great designated driver system!

Matt, if your gonna take it there call thier servic department (854 0194) and ask for Terry Hildreth. Tell him Duane from Sparkle cleaning said he could get your truck fixed and he will hook ya up, he is a great guy and honest. Lemme know if ya need anything else.

BTW, if ur gonna be in town we could always g2g for lunch or somthin.

etk, I have heard good stuff about Auto Tech too. They have moved from the Kimball location, but I'm note sure where to. I just haven't paid attention. Matt good luck on getting that truck fixed.
