Well, I pulled a code a while back, forgot which one it was, and when I had the tranny rebuilt, the tranny shop pulled the same code and said I had a couple bad injectors.
When I get her up to 2000 RPM, she's very drivable, but at 1500, in overdrive, when I hit the throttle or just try to acccelerate and she's very rough running, almost bucking.
What's the word on your injectors? Do you like them and would you go bigger if you were to do it again?
I have a couple bad injectors and need to get a new set myself.

the word is:
I LOVE EM!!!!!!
bigger no. i think stage 1's are plenty for my application. to be honest i have a 4 pos chip that i always ran on 75 setting with stock injectors(50,75,100,fuel 7 settings) because it ran great on that. well i will tell you that anything over the 50 setting now is just crazy. i cant believe the tire burning axle wrap power i have now.
i am too scared to drive it on the 100 or fuel 7 settings as it would just be insane i am sure(i seriously have not flipped it higher than 75 yet). egts are the same cruising around town and down the freeway the only time they climb is if i really hammer down and un leash the out of my stroke. i think if you where always towing i would recommend an ic. fuel mileage seems the same or a little higher. i keep a running log of all mileage and fillups i just need to get a few more tanks run through em and compare.
but to go from a federal 98cc injectored truck to 160's is awesome. i cant say it enough. now if you were going from a cali truck to stage 1's the change wouldnt be as drastic but still very noticeable.
driving a truck on 4 or 5 injectors sucks bad. i would recommend stage 1's to anyone they are the way to go. if you got any questions let me know.

yes very bad bucking and an almost choppy sound as the air feeding exhaust wheel of turbo is not consistent and you can definitley tell.
once the news ones are installed it sounds so nice running, very smooth and accelerates great.
I need to give beans a call. My down side, stage one splitshots are $1250, where as stage 2 singles are $1250. I tow a lot too, so it sounds like stage 1s are perfect, I'm sure bens can give me some insight in what to expect from them.
I don't have a chip yet, plan to some time later down the road, but with just adding injectors will I have to upgrade anything, ECM maybe?
thanks again, glad you like them....little jealous.
Mine will buck in OD when I'm cruising at low rmp, say at 45mph and then lay into the throttle 1/2 to 3/4 it'll kinda buck or chug as it's accellerating. Is this injectors you think?

well i take it you got a cali truck...
man with 160 splits you are gonna need a lot of oil for those like a sd hpop. if it were me i would lose the fuel dampner, and get a federal pcm a single shot injectors. you can be way under the 1250 price range with that.
are you contemplating stage 2's?

highly possible or bad icp sensor. i woiuld get your oil warm and get a cylinder contribution test done. that will let you know for sure.

That is exactly what I was getting at.....45ish at low rpms and getting on to the gas while still in OD, but if I give it enough and let it shift down it comes out of it real quick. I just thought it was the nature of the beast?? Well is it??
Where would you go to get that done?? To a dealer? I assume it is hooking it up and doing a run or idling??
i'll be in new jersey in 2 weeks. if you wanna meet up? not sure if its close or not. but you can see if someone has one up there or the dealer but a rip off.

I was thinking about it, but figured there was a lot of other mods associated with the stage 2s. If the additional mods are the same compared to the stage 1s then it's a possibility, but I don't think they are. Right now I need injectors...I'll have to make some calls and see.
i jsut ordered a set of stage ones i shold be getin them sometime next week i cann't wait to get them o yea and a 6 positon chip with stock, high idle, 2 dif tow pragrams(those will be the daily drivers i think) and then an extreme program and i the last one i let them decide so i hope i get a good surprise
