I'm trying to help my neighbor with his powerstroke diesel, 1996 E-350. As my turbo cars run on pump gas, I have zero knowledge of the super torque powerstrokes. He is trying to reprogram his Powerstroke with the use of the Superchips 1700 model Microtuner. When the unit initialized and tries to store the 'stock' set up, the bottom blocks fill left to right on the screen; but when it reaches the end it will read in error stating to check the cable connections. This is where the problem is and we were wondering if anyone else has run across this problem. The cable that runs to the micro tuner to the in truck connector was checked for continuity and passes but no other wire continuity troubleshooting has been done. All connnections appear to be solid. A phone call to Superchips led to no avail. Can anyone help?
