Unused Error Codes????

Check Engine light came on and I scanned the system to find these codes:
PO 672
PO 673
PO 674
PO 676
PO 678

The scanner said that they are unused codes. Has anybody else seen this one? I have not had this problem before and have ran the Superchip reprogrammer for years. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Excurision 2000 with the Powerstroke and I have the computer reprogrammed with the Superchips reprogrammer.

Question

This is just a guess so take it for what it is worth... If the scanner is only capable of reading "generic" OBDII codes (those common to all manufacturers) it may report "Unused" for any codes that Ford has created.

Since the MIL is coming on, there is obviously something happening. My guess is that your code scanner only has "English" descriptions of the OBDII standard codes, and just pukes out "Unused" when it encounters proprietary codes that Ford has added to the reporting data.

These are all glow plug circuit faults.
P0672 = Cylinder #2 - Glow Plug Circuit
P0673 = Cylinder #3 - """"" and so on.

You scan tool that you are using isn't capable of reading these because it is just for Generic OBDII faults.
