Best Code Reader that WON'T Break the Bank

I am looking for a "quality" code reader that isn't all that expensive. Also, were can I get a copy of the codes for my 2002 F-350 7.3 PSD.

Thank you.

Any code reader you get for the PSD will need the Ford enhanced codes. I have an Actron code reader and and AutoXray 2000 and it both will not read codes on my 2k PSD. AutoEnginuity has a real nice set up for the laptop of Palm Pilot that will allow you to do some troubleshooting. If all you want to do is read codes and not really any troubleshooting, and you don't have a Palm Pilot or laptop then an AutoXray 6000 both you can get for under $500. As for the book on codes for you truck, both will tell you what the codes are, however for some troubleshooting, you can't beat the Ford Powertrain Control/Emission Diagnosis Manual or a maintenance CD or DVD. You can get either from Helminc, or Ebay.
