Question 302 Distributor Wire Up

The plug on my distributor broke. I am replacing it with a four wire flat trailer connector. Can anyone tell me which wires to connect to get the proper plug configuration? Thanks for any help in advance.

It's in a 1981 F100. It has a vacuum advance on the radiator side of the distributor.

The wires on the dist should be orange, purple, and black. You should be able to match the colors.

Using an ohm-meter:
Black to ground = 0 ohms
Orange to ground = 70,000 ohms
Purple to ground = 70,000 ohms
Orange to Purple = 400 to 800 ohms

Junkyards tend to have plenty of original plugs.
