Engine Build

Ok guys, i really need your help on this one, i'm building on a 302EFI that i have in my truck its a 95 with a A4OD-W. I already have the cam that i want and maybe the intake manifold. I've chosen the CompCam 268h and all the hardware(springs, lifters, locks, etc) So, first off i'm just wanting to know if that's a good choice for what i'm doing. The intake manifold i found is an Edelbrock Performer 5.0EFI. The engine itself has about 130000 miles on it, so nothing TOO extreme, it sill runs like a beast and i know it can do so much more.
Some other mods i was wanting to make are MSD Ignition and of course wires and distribuitior, i was looking into some exhaust headers also. I'm wanting to beef up the rear end too, i'm afraid to do that by myself...i've heard some horror stories about that...but i would still like some input on that as well so i can get what i need and have someone help or do it for me. I was thinking also about a K&N Filter, but i heard that these aren't all what everyone says they are.
So guys, any help will be appriciated, as always is....thanks in advance!!!!

is this 2wd or 4wd? sounds like a good plan. what are you using this rig for? for the mods you want to do exhaust will be very important. the stock setup is a big bottle neck. if you get headers buy a good pair and expect to pay well over $250 for quality. having a custom Y pipe or buy a bassani would be good as well. the stock Y is poor.

it a 2wd, i already have a custom exhaust...straight pipes form the headers, no muffler or cat. Im going to be using it pretty much as just an everyday driver for now. I'm saving up for a short block now, i'm just buying what i can and then when i get the money just transfer the parts i've already bought. A question aboutt eh headers...$250 each or pair??

pair, a good set would be gibson, jba, edelbrock , bbk or bassani. being 2wd you could run long tube as well to give you a bit more low end
