I looking to lift my 2000 X 4x4. It seems like Donahoe has one of the best or most popular lift kits. I was wondering if anyone has tried the sky jacker Z link spring over conversion? or What are some of your opinions about a spring over conversion on a landyot?
DR is probably going to be your best choice for lift and comfort while keeping the price down. I am going to be running a kelderman air ride setup on my X.
I had a Skyjacker coilover platinum lift on my 2000 dodge 2500 and it was a desent ride. I ended with a custom lift later for more tavel and smoother ride. They do stand behind there product and fit and finish is pretty good.
Thanks for the info. I am not too worried about the price right now I am just looking to see what would be the best thing for my x. I am wanting something that would perform very well on and off road. That kelderman air ride looks like it would ride very well. Let me know how it rides after you have it installed.
I have the same question about putting the Super Duty Skyjacker Platinum Series Z-Link Coil-Over Conversion on an Excursion. Will it fit? And is there any way to do the rear axle with coil-overs or at least coil springs?
Skyjacker doesn't even take email enquiries. Nice Web site, but a bit weak to insist you sit on the phone to get an answer.
I one of the big three 4-wheel mags did an install of the Z-Link a while back, they reported that it rode very well, but that there was virtually no wheel travel with the kit, even less than stock.
Not too many seem to be taking to the Z-Link conversion...
