Valve line modulator boost for E4OD tranny
Anyone installed one? I am trying to smooth out the shifting in my "93 4X4 5.0. It is shifhting hard. Is this a possibility & how difficult to install. I know enough about tranny's to get into trouble, but I don't want to spend 3K for a new one. Any help will be appreciated.

Also, don't forget that sometimes hard shifting can be caused by dirty wiring harness connections at the tansmission, a bad VSS sensor on the diff. or a bad TPS. What quicklook2 says makes sense - I wouldn't want to compound the problem by upping the internal line pressures and making the tranny shift even harder. Troubleshoot the easy stuff first.

just my experience, i'm no tranny man, but my 94 f-250 has the e4od behind the 460, and when it started shifting hard it was only 3 months tops before the intermediate sprag took permenant leave via a big hole in the left side of the transmission case. on a brighter not, they're not 3000 unless you plan to buy brand new, i sell remans w/upgrades & converters for around 2-ish.....if you can get my contact info from the moderators contact me sometime, i wont post it here for fear of getting in toruble
