O.K. The gauges came yesterday, fast delivery. I have the three gauge windshield mount and the box only came with the pod install instructions. I could not find an install sheet on the dieselmanor web sight.
It looks to me that I will have to cut the top of the mount to be able to use the backings to mount the gauges into the mount.
I have just opened the boxes for inspection but it does not look like much room here.
Can anyone give me a link for some install help for the windshield mount?
Have you tried test fitting the pod where it's supposed to go? I don't remember having to cut anything on the new one, but had to cut a big hole in the original trim to allow the wiring to come through. It was then covered up when the pod was installed.

I am going to do that in a little while when I leave for work. But what I see having to cut for is to be able to put on the backings to each gauge that hold them into the mount itself. The part that I would cut is what will be up against the roof. Should not be seen after install.

Just to confirm, we are talking about the A-pillar mount?
On mine the bottom edge goes down in between the dashboard and the body of the truck nearly 1". You have to pull the weatherstripping off it's lip and kind of roll it into the slot between the dash and the body of the truck. Once it's inserted into that slot the whole assembly is tilted away from the piller and you rotate the whole thing up and it seats, fits perfectly. On mine there are no retainer or mounting clips so I hold it in place with a large diameter sheet metal screw just long enough to reach through the pod mount and down through the factory trim that it's covering.
I don't know if this helps or not.

No, not the A piller. I bought the windshield mount over the rear view mirror.
Reading over the directions.....more than once. Can someone give me an idea of how much time I should allow for this? I am thinking that I will need to plan out three to four stages to get it all done around 80 hour work weeks.
