Goodness gratious.

Charlie, our V10's look better and better. And at that price, Ford better start casting alot more of them. Only the hardcore have to have it diesel owner would buy one.

i wonder what will have to be purchased along with it. or if in fact it's the price of just the motor as i was told.
i do know for a fact we are going to be seeing sharp increases due to the emissions and new needs for the new fuel. plus the cost of the second turbo unit. i know it all adds up to to what deg.

I assume you mean '08. I'm still hearing the '07 will be business as usual, with '08 production starting in January. I also heard a vicious rumor that the V10 will disappear when the "new" SD comes out.

Also of note, the 8.1 did not make the party-invite on the new 3/4T Suburban, so I don't expect it to resurface in the pickup line either. This is consistent with what I posted last year.

WHAT? No V10? Vicious rumor indeed. Leave it to Ford to ruin the best truck on the road by giving you a choice of a underpowered gas motor or a over priced diesel motor.

If what you say is true, I'll be buying a 2007 with the V10! Yikes, those are some scary comments.

The 8.1's probably history on the GM side, and there's supposed to be a 6.2 waiting in the wings for the Blue Oval SD crowd. I haven't seen this as official- but the source was pretty reliable.
