'61 Stepside

I've been looking for a spare tire carrier for my F100. It's a stepside, and on the driver's side, the fender is indented to allow for a spare tire. Any advice?

I have a complete spare tire carrier for your truck. I just removed it and am planning on changing the fender out and leaving it off the truck. I was sure to keep every bolt and brace which I put back on as I removed it. I even have a spare for it.

61 Tail Light

Does anyone have the original tail light assy's for their 61 stepside? I need to know if the original unit was a round or shield type tail light assy.

Thanks. My owners manual shows the 61's tail lights to be round, but the only ones I have been able to find are the shield type. I really want to use the correct lights. Is it possible that Ford made two versions? Mine is a 6 cyl. 3 speed standard.

Same here, 6cyl, 3 speed. My experience has been that almost all the stepside bed parts were the same untill from 55 to about 1972.

midfifties lists a bed mount spare carrier. I don't have the part # here but can send it from work if your still looking. I'm looking for 2 for my 62. I want to cut the passenger fender & hang 2 spares.
