just talked to a guy who read the codes for me and thinks that its the coolant sensor. He pulled the plugs and they were all carboned up, he cleaned em and it ran good for a little bit, then they just carboned up again. I will prolly install a new engine coolant sensor and see what that gives me

I got the areostar back today. The guy who read my codes from a local repair shop told me that it could either be a coolant sensor which he thinks is unlikely or a fuel pressure problem. The thing is they took the fuel pressure there and it was at 80 PSI which is double that it should be. We are thinking somethign is going wrong with the whole fuel pressure regulator. Maybe a vacuum leak of some sort. Anyone got any further input?

Check this article out. here's a piece "With the return line pinched shut, the pump should produce two times its normal operating pressure at idle."

Yes, this is true, the native pressure of the pump is 60-80 psi. If the return line is blocked or pinched, the pressure cannot be regulated down to an acceptable level, and excessive fuel will escape through the injectors.
