the 93 may be able to come close but will rub with a 33 so 35's you can forget about it. with the 79 you can get away with a 4" to clear 35's while the 93 will need a 6" unless you dont offroad at all but will see rubbing for sure.
I posted a couple months ago that my 79 had 35s on it. I was working on it this weekend an rechecked, mine are 33x12.5x15s no lift.
I only drive it twice a year, couldn't remeber what went on it 2 yrs ago.
i was afraid 35s wouldnt work without a lift. i guess im glad i asked well i put a lift on my 01 wrangler i guess a old ford cant be that hard.thanks guys
Yep, 33's will fit on a 78-79 Bronco without any problems whatsoever. 35's are going to require a lift or some serious work with a sawzall and maybe some wheel spacers.
You could clear 33s with out rubbing as stated above.
IF your fenders are rusty, or you just don't like them, then cut them or just get some bushwacker cut out fender flares, then you could fit 35s.
A 3" body lift could clear 35s without rubbing, and a
4" suspension lift could fit 36s without rubbing, but you would need new rims with different backspacing, b/c 12.50" wide tires on stock rims not only wouldn't work, but would rub the radius arms till no end.
I would suggest a 4" suspension lift, if you wanted 35s.
All you would need is new front springs, radius arm c bushings, rear blocks w/ u bolts, and extended brake lines. Then you would have a great looking Bronco for extreamly cheap, but you would definatally need to regear to at least 4.10 gears, depending on what you use the Bronco for. ? .
ok guys, i was taking a good look at the bronco today .it already has 32 x 11.50s on it and it looks like it has more than enough room for 35s as is. maybe it already has a lift of some sort on it .did a stock 79 come with dual shocks on each side on the front & a spring over rear, or is this a lift someone else has installed at some point?i have never owned a bronco untill now so i have nothing to go off off? thanks
Yes most broncos came with dual front shocks, but never came with a spring over lift in the rear.
What year is it? If it is a 78 79 then it could be stock, but if it is a 80 and up them it would have to have a lift to fit 35s.
