As you guys may have figured out, I'm not only getting used to the Ford vs my Chevs, but I'm working the bugs out of a used truck with 100k on it. So here's my next question......
My HVAC quite often sticks on defrost. I've been told that this is common when the vacuum pump goes. My auto hubs often don't work either, so that also lead me to the vacuum pump or a leak. But, this weekend when it stuck on defrost I also noticed that when I turned it to "off" the blower kept going. On my Chev, this would shut the hole system off. If the Ford is the same way, then maybe my actual control panel has a short and it's not the pump. Can anyone tell me if turning the selector to off is supposed to shut down everything, including the blower? Any other insights?
