I had a chebby one time. Now I have a 1951 F-2 (3/4 ton) w/239 flat head V-8, 6 volt, I still use; a 1987 F-250 diesel 4X4; and a 2004 F-350 4X4 6 liter. I have never had any problems with any of them that wouldn't be expected for their age and mileage, and less problems than I had with the chebby. I don't chip my engines and don't abuse my trucks, but they are working trucks.
For 15 years I have been a GM owner when it came to suv's and trucks. I made the switch to ford when my friend told me how happy he was with his 7.3. I was impressed when I drove it--he had a tuner in it. I bought my 03 powserstroke 6.0 (one of the so called bad ones) and love it. I have had only one issue--it has the c94 injectors of which 2 had to be replaced. Ford stood behind it and I have'nt had a problem since. Best truck I ever owned!!
Wanna take over payments??$544 for 3 more years...........
Don't need to take over yer payments...got my own to deal with. Sure worth it tho. Duracraps aren't worth a hoot, by the time the cummins is broke in the rest of the dodge is broken!!!! Just what i think tho.
By the time the Cummins is "broke-in" the rest of the Dodge is "broken"! Okay... it's probably considered bashing, but it's funny, I don't care who you are!

YUP!
Cummins might make THE engine, but Dodge can't put a body, suspension, brakes or anyting else that makes a truck a truck under it.
And I'll attest to that statement as a previous Dodge owner !!
Sixteen days in the shops at four nearby Dodge shops for brake problems. 1995 2500 Cummins SLT.
Front Trackbars???? God almighty my dealer didnt even know what one was. Three times there.
Chrysler corporate service was nothing.
Cost me over $700 in rental vehicle charges.
Sold that junk Dodge the day after they got the brakes fixed.
That 12-V Cummins might have been a longevity beast but the truck as a whole really sucked.
