Decode my diff tag please
Gday Guys
Finally looked at my diff tag.
Now I need somebody to tell me what it all means
The tag reads as best as I can determine WFE-AW 9
3L 50 9 366A
This is in an Aussie 79 F100,2WD,351C,C6
Thanks
Mike

looks like a 3.50 gear.
Wonder if L stands for trac-loc? Is it a one-tire-fire or does it go sideways when you mash the gas?
I imagine the cleveland would roast the hides pretty good. All I get is wheel hop with my old trusty '79 300 six.

You have a limited slip with 3.50 to 1 gear ratio, this means the driveshaft turns 3.5 revolutions to 1 revolution of the tire or wheel.

G'day Guys
Thanks to everybody that replied
I figured it was a slippery diff as both wheels turned in the same direction when I jacked it up and spun one wheel.
Now I know the ratio as well.
Thunderb its got a holley, cam, headers etc (blower's next).
If you poke it, it will bite.
Thanks again
Mike

Well Mil1ion, you said it was a Locking rear end, which ford never installed a factory locker, and I was basically just saying it was a limited slip.
