E4OD spewing fluid, advice please
I have a 93 F250 with a 5.0 and E4OD. Drove about 80 miles the other day and noticed a small drip from the front of the bellhousing. Drove about another 40 miles and started smoking seriously out the back. Pulled over and fluid was pouring out of the bellhousing. Put in a quart and just made it home. Trans has 176000 mi on it. Could this just be overheating and the trans venting or possibly the front seal? Could I flush and refill and maybe add some DR TRanny or do you think its time to rebuild/replace? Thanks for any responses.
