HPOP Replacement

2001 7.3L Excursion

I had another oil leak. Took it to the stealer and they replaced the HPOP under warranty.

Had starting problems, so I pop the hood and notice a wire/tube/hose is not attached (damn ASE techs). Looks like vaccumm hose maybe. It is the size of a cocktail straw. It is grey and runs with a black line from under the AC blower Motor(????) on the passenger side fire wall. It runs across the fire wall and I hooked it up to where I assume it goes. To some thing that is in-line with the rubber hose that comes from the front of the motor up under the Black Plastic "Powerstroke" shield that covers the fuel filter and towards the back. The line is attached, but kinda rubs on the intake tube for the Turbo. Hopefully it doesn;t melt.

Does anyone know what I am talking about. Should I call the stealer and yell at them for not connecting it back up?

Thanks,

the starting problem may be from the hpop replacement. it take a little driving to get the air out of the oil system and low oil pressure(less than 500psi) won't start. so it takes a while for the system to build enough pressure. not sure though what you hooked back up. somebody will though!!!!
