Tue. I got word of another suicide in our group of friends. This is the 5th. suicide in as many years and is really hitting hard. They all went to a fairly small private school, not far from where I grew up. They were all very wonderful smart, likeable people who seemed to have everything going for them. Going to good schools and doing fine, no money problems, no girl problems, basically the life that most would want.
The most recent (unknown to me) had apparently been showing signs of schitzophrenia. For some reason this actually made it a little easier to take, but not much. We've also had friends pass in other, very strange ways, but none as hard to take in as these.
So, Saturday I go to my 11th funeral for a young friend. I don't know what to say, this is just surreal right now. He was even excited about going climbing next time he made it this way when I talked to him a month ago. Now the next time we go somewhere it will be to spread his ashes.
I wasn't with them on those days so I can't judgebut, please, if anyone has these feelings to the point of actually going thru with it atleast google the term and do some reading, call a friend, something just wait a little while. And don't do it for relief, you can only feel relief if you're alive.
