Superchip install
I am going to order a superchips #1715 for my '03 F350 V10 so I got the directions from their website. It looks easy, but does'nt show my truck. I assume to disable the fuel system means pull out the fuel pump fuse. My manual says it's #40 ( I think) in the fuse panel. Is that all there is to it? I want to put in the 87 octane program. Thanks.-Lou

I have one for my 2004 F250 V10. I do have to pull the fuse for the fuel pump, and it is the seventh one from the left on the bottom row of fuses in the fusebox. I like the 87 octane setting, and that is the one I run all the time except when I am towing. Then I use the tow performance setting.
The only thing I change in the 87 octane program, is I change the shift points from 10 mph over stock to 5 mph over stock. At 10 mph over stock, the power seems to die off before it shifts. The engine rpm goes beyond the peak on the hp/torque curve, and the motor starts to run out of steam. At 5 mph over stock, the motor is still pulling hard when it shifts.

Louis Amsler,
That's all you have to do, on the diesels you don't even have to do that, just plug up and program! We sell tons of them and the V10 responds very well to the Superchip, you'll like it. Call us if you have any questions etc and we'll be glad to help you. We also have a guaranteed pricing policy to make sure you get it at the best price! Consider an intake too, helps get the right amount of air to mix with the extra fuel the Superchips will add. AFE makes a great one to look at.
