The closest looking to my recolection of the OEM flywheel is the ATP Z287.Alternate/OEM Part Number: E6ZZ6375A Not sure however if its a 14-1/4" diameter And I think its a 157 tooth not 164.

The 157 tooth is for a Mustang as would be the E6ZZ part number Pickups always had the larger flywheel. That Z287 also tells me it's likely a 28 oz/in wrong for your motor

This flywheel from a 1981 truck ls the one that I would like to have the part # for. Thanks

There are several different diameters of flywheel as well. You need to count the number of teeth on the flywheel, the most common ones have a tooth count of 157 and 164. There was a smaller one, I think it was 147 that was used on the Mustang II with the 302. A bit rare as you can imagine. The bellhousing has to match the flywheel for size as well. If you use a 157-tooth flywheel in a bellhousing designed for a 164, the starter won't engage but will simply spin free. If the reverse, the Bendix will slam against the flywheel but not engage the teeth.

The number you give above identifies that flywheel as an '81, so it should be right on the changeover and should be 50oz. Make sure that it has a counterweight cast into the back for the imbalance. Here's a 50oz flywheel off of an '88 5.0:

Note the imbalance weight on the back. A 28oz. imbalance is about half that wide.

I searched using the Ford part# that a dealer gave me. E8TZ-6375-D. Found a used one out of a 1994 salvage vehicle on eBay. Same engine, same M5R2 tranny. Apparently had been sitting around for years...The truck was junked long ago, suffered an early demise only 72000 miles! Looks great, I wire wheeled it today (had some surface rust). Now I need to find a shop with competent mechanics, preferably old time Ford mechanics...that had to know a thing or two. Seems today, everything is idiot proofed. Anyway not an easy thing to do in East-Central Florida. Lot's of red neck wanabe's. And sharks trying to get over!!!

Btw I finally heard back from the people at ZF Sachs after writing them about the NFW1128 flywheel. They said this flywheel is in fact a 50oz imbalance for my application!! What the heck! Could there possibly be that much difference between aftermarket and OEM? They claim to meet or exceed the OEM part. Surely don't want to go through the trouble and expense of having the transmission pulled a 3rd time and not solve the vibration issue!!!!

With that part number, I'd highly suspect the person you heard from doesn't know what he's talking about. You sure you have a 5.0 ?

I tried to look it up on their site and found that to be impossible to do. You're in Europe ? That's where ZF Sachs is

They have North American facilities as well..If you do a search for the flywheel you may see the NFW1128 come up as well. I am in the Melbourne Florida area. Very perplexing to say the least!! Yes its a 302 motor, mated to the M5R2 5 speed manual. I bought this truck new way back in early 95

I wonder how well some of these clutch/pressure plate assemblies are balanced?
Seems it could be a problem hanging all that weight off the side of that flywheel &
throwing the whole thing out?????

I am not a mechanic and this whole ordeal is very frustrating!! I would hate to spend another $500. to pull the tranny again only to find out the same problem exists.
