Does anyone have experience with this?? I bought a leveling kit off of them and it is supposed to give me 2.5"... however, If you measure the spring pack, it only measured to 1 13/16ths" where does the 2.5" come from??
if your measuring the difference while the springs are unloaded (uninstalled) than i would be inclined to say that the donahoe springs are slightly firmer (progressive) and therefore dont compress as much as the stockers when installed.
say mabye the stockers compress 3"installed and the donahoes only 2" or so.....
then you would have about 2.5" of lift.
just speculating......as mine arent here yet. let me know if thats the case!
forced5, I assume you are referring to the coil spring set. On my 05 F-350 I gained exactly 2.5 inches in front end height( 3 inches would have been prefferable).
hope this helps, Doug
For the confused one, you're the only one that put the pieces of the puzzle together and answered forced5's question. He simply confused the DR '05-'06 level kit height with the '99-'04 kit height. DR doesn't make a 2.5" leveling kit with a spring pack, which forced5 clearly described he had in his second post. They only make a 2" spring pack. The 2.5" kit comes with coil springs, and as you said, is for the '05-'06's. And a 3/16" difference from stated height is reasonably close enough to call it a 2" kit.
My bad guys... I shoulda gave more info... I have an 04.. I thought I read that it was supposed to be 2.5" but I see where I am confused.. thanks anyway for helping a moron..
