Well i just stacked my Edge J/A with the Edge Evo and now my T/C wont lockup in 3rd like it use to. This only happens at speeds higher than 55. Below that it works fine. I have a T/C lockup switch that has an LED that lights up when the PCM sends the signal, well it does not light up so I dont think its the tranny actin up but mabey the PCM. If I turn my over drive off everything shifts fine including the T/C. Im montering my Tranny temp closely to with my A pillar gauges and the hotest ive seen it were a little over 130 when its 30 degrees out. Well i hope you guys have some possible answers for me, im planning on getting a BTS tranny this summer just hope this one lasts till then. Later Chase.
What happens when you remove the J/A?? I've heard some stories about peopel not liking the way the trans shifts with that in there. Strokin didn't like his and took it off.
Hmm i will try Takeing the Edge J/A off, But putting it back to stock on the J/A is not taking it off?, It must be disconnected completley. Well let me know thaks, Chase.
i was running the Juice/Attitude combo standstill for a while, and it was okay. it didnt do anything good for the transmission, as far as shift firmness etc. it just made the transmission feel like a CVT somewhat. i then had the evolution added, and i usually ran that on the 80hp setting ("race"). it firmed up the actual shift points, but i feel it didnt do anything as far as making the Torque Converter feel "firmer". when i went to buy a chip, i sold the J/A and then ran with the evolution and gauges until my chip came in. then i sold the evolution to make up for my gauge purchase. it made it so much better to drive. take into consideration i didnt have a T/C lockup then, but overall, the truck drove alot better. i also felt the truck had more power with the evolution alone. i guess the fact of raising the line pressure made the truck accelerate better with less slip.
try putting the J/A back on "0" (stock), and reprogram the stock program on the PCM with the evolution. then remove the J/A completely and reload the evolution tune. i find it is easier if you put your window down to begin with and then hang the tuner out the window. you can multi-task instead of reading the corny facts that the evolution shows about FMC's history.
please remember not to run over 60hp tune until you have analog gauges.
Thanks I do have analog gauges just cause I found them for a good deal and I will run a DP tuner chip later on. But I will Try that Strokinit7.3. I just dont know why my T?C is actin up the way it is, but yet it shifts awesome if the O/D is turned off. hmm ill try it tonight. But does my tans temp seem right at around or a little over 130 in 30 degree weather? Thanks chase
