In cold weather (under 15F), horn will come on, and stay on. Pulled the fuse, losing cruise control, as short term remedy. Any knowns??
Thanks for all the fine people helping here. Found the site when having cold start problems. Replaced GPR after following diagnostics suggested here. $87 total cost, as compared to the stealer who was bemoaning GP replacements, etc. and alluding to $600-800 range of similar repairs!
I have a similar problem; the only difference is temperature is not an issue with my truck. No one has been able to diagnose the problem and it is not showing any codes. I’ve unplugged the horn and added a bumper sticker that reads… “Horn broken, watch for Finger” Jeff in NM…OUT
Had a similair problem, but only when turning right and cold outside. Solution was shorting wire on the watchspring gizmo for the cruise control stuff under the airbag in the steering wheel. Disconnect batteries, take off airbag, and look carefully for bare spots or pinched wire showing on harness. Take care re-installing or you could make problem worse. Ford stealership just used black tape the FIRST time they fixed it. second time they replaced it @ about $100.00 for the watchspring (warranty item finally)
