I have a 2005 6.0 and I was driving today and it just shutoff with no warning at all. I coasted of the road and the truck started back up. I drove it the rest of the day and no problem. Has anyone else had this happen?
I saw this once on a new truck. The fuse or the relay for the fuel pump was loose. Can not remember which one. Doubt that is your issue. But you can take a quick peek.
Same thing happened on my '04. I was downhilll on a mountain grade in a curve and it died. I was headed across the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic and manhandled it over to the r/shoulder. As I was coasting to a stop it started by itself. I took it to the dealer and they reflashed the computer with an update. That was last May and it hasn't happened since. As I recall, about 2 weeks later a TSB came out advising of that same problem. My advice? Take it to the dealer and check for any updates.
I Had The Same Thing Happen To Me Twice. Both Times I Was Making A Turn And Was On The Gas Then When I Let Off The Car Stalled. It Did Start Right Up After This Happened.
I took the truck in on tuesday. After telling them about it shutting off they looked it up and told me I had four recalls on the truck. One of them was for that and one was for the trany. They never sent me a letter on the recall so I didnt no it had recalls. I dont no what all they are doing but they told me they needed the truck for three days. I hope to pick it up tomorrow and then I will find out everything they did. Wish me luck.
Ok got my truck back yesterday. So far so good truck is running great but I havent drove it much. They replaced the snap ring in the trany. Installed ebp sensor and reprogramed pcm ficm and tcm. What ever that means. They say it should help me get better mpg and it shouldnt shut off anymore. Wish me luck.
